Forte dei Marmi is situated in northern Tuscany, within the province of Lucca, and can be easily reached by all forms of transport. It is the ideal base from which to explore Tuscany's most impressive towns and cities.
Pisa is just 30km away, while Florence is a little over 80km away - both cities have their own international airports.
If you are traveling by car, Forte dei Marmi has its own exit, called "Versilia", which is signposted on the A12 motorway that links Genoa, Livorno and Rome, just a few miles from the roads for Milan and Florence.
It is also possible to reach Forte dei Marmi by train, via the main station at Viareggio and the branch station of Forte dei Marmi - Querceta.
The nearby tourist ports of Viareggio and Livorno, which are just 20 minutes' drive away, make it easy to reach Forte dei Marmi by boat. |
